We Are Guardians

Amid corporate greed and global environmental devastation, Indigenous forest guardians in the Amazon are fighting to protect their land. WE ARE GUARDIANS, directed by Indigenous activist Edivan Guajajara and environmental filmmakers Chelsea Greene and Rob Grobman, follows these protestors, as well as the loggers who illegally cut old growth trees to support their families and the farmers who burn the forest to expand their workable land. Politics, history, economics, and science are woven through the narratives, creating a nuanced portrait of an imperiled ecosystem that is critical to global climate stability.
