Coconut Head Generation

Directed by Alain Kassanda

Every Thursday, students at the University of Ibadan in Southwestern Nigeria gather for a film club. COCONUT HEAD GENERATION brilliantly documents the students’ conversations as they engage with films about ethnicity, feminism, and gender. The dark and pervasive effects of the University’s colonial roots quickly come to the surface as the students unpack the state of Nigeria and fight for the better future that they deserve.
